Less wood per tonne of paper
Discovery papers are lighter and greener: they use less wood than regular standard 80gm2 paper, producing the same amount of paper and avoiding waste. Using Eucalyptus globulus fibres, our technology requires up to 40% less wood volume to produce the same amount of paper/m2.

Discovery 70 uses 37% less wood for the same amount of paper when compared with a competitor 80 g.m-2. If we use the same quantity of wood, we can produce 58% more paper. Since the year 2000 we have reduced energy consumption by 35%, water consumption by 45% and CO2 emissions from fossil fuel by 71%. Discovery delivers 71% more printed pages and causes fewer paper jams because it is stiffer and thicker.
